Enfield Black Literature Festival

In celebration of Black History

Enfield Caribbean Association (ECA) in partnership with AFIWI Book Club are hosting the Enfield Black Literature Festival taking place on Sunday 18 October 2026 at Dugdale Arts Centre. This landmark event will be a vibrant day of inspiration, storytelling and celebration honouring black heritage, culture and community. 

Designed for all ages and backgrounds, the festival promotes community cohesion and representation and cultural esteem; with a particular focus on supporting Enfield residents of African and Caribbean descent. 

Dugdale Arts Centre, located in the heart of Enfield offers a fully accessible venue.

The Literature Festival will include:

• 13 published authors

• Guest Speakers and panel discussions
• 3 workshops for budding writers
• Bookstalls and a blind book swap
• Windrush Exhibition
• Refreshments/Caribbean cuisine on sale
• Celebrity guest authors

When: Sunday 18 October 2026

Time: 1pm-7pm.

Venue: Dugdale Arts Centre, 39 London Road, Enfield, EN2 6DS

All-inclusive ticket: £10.00

Includes all workshops, panel discussions covering fiction and non-fiction themes and other activities. Author panels begin at 2.20pm and feature Dele Ogun, Pam Edwards, Troy Onyango, Jacqueline Crooks and Leroy Logan and many more.
