Plot Potatoes is a friendly, collaborative writing group where writers of all backgrounds can come together to untangle tricky plot problems, spark new ideas, and nurture their creativity.

Whether you’re stuck in the middle of a draft, wrestling with characters who refuse to behave, or just looking for motivation to keep writing, this is a space to experiment, learn, and grow. We focus on honing our writing skills through discussion, shared problem-solving, and encouragement, no pressure, no pretence, just writers helping writers in a supportive and social environment.

Founded by Sara Kapadia, a South Asian writer, Londoner and proud plot potato, Plot Potatoes celebrates the messy, awkward, and joyful process of storytelling.

Our final Plot Potatoes session before the summer break will take place on Thursday 30 July. The programme will then pause for the summer and return with weekly sessions, running from 5–7pm every Thursday, from 3 September.
